Pickleball Live Status
This is the current status of the pickleball courts and shows how many people are playing on the Bainbridge Island Founders Courts:
Weather permitting, the pickleball schedule allows for open play Monday through Friday from 9am until 12 noon – which means you can show up as an individual any time in between those hours, place your paddle in the play queue holder, and when a game finishes the winners will call for the next two players from the queue to join.
If you join with a friend, you can allow a single player to go ahead of you so that you and your partner can play together in the upcoming game.
Winners of the game stay on the court for a second game, unless they played their second game, in which case they vacate the court and join the play queue holder.
While everyone is welcoming of new players and most are friendly, if you’re going to show up for open play you should have a basic understanding of rules, scoring, and how to play the kitchen. Additionally, you should also be able to serve relatively consistently.
These pickleball courts serve as a gathering place for both residents and visitors, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie. It is evident that the Bainbridge Island Founders Courts have become a cherished recreational destination for individuals seeking an active and social experience.

How to Determine if Anyone is Playing Pickleball
While it’s not an exact science, we can estimate the number of players by looking for dark “blobs” on the picture and assuming that each of the blobs is a person.
Typically, there are four players on a court (two players on a side).
