The Hilltop Trail is a connector trail between the Grand Forest West and Grand Forest East Trail Systems. You will encounter a short steep section of trail as you approach the Hilltop Meadow, near the center of the Hilltop Trail when heading East from the Grand Forest West. On a clear day there are spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains. The acquisition of this trail created the Cross Island Trail.
Other trails nearby include the Grand Forest West Trail System and the Forest-To-Sky Trail, accessed from a parking lot on Miller Road NE just north of NE Tolo Road, and the Grand Forest East Trail System, accessed from the 90 degree bend on Mandus Olson Road NE.
The Hilltop Trail does not have a dedicated trailhead, it can only be accessed from either the Grand Forest West or Grand Forest East Trail Systems.
