Bainbridge Island’s Farmers’ Market Ranked #62 of 101 Best U.S. Farmers’ Markets

Bainbridge families love to spend Saturday mornings at the farmers’ market, and now many others may come to do that very thing. The Daily Meal, an online culinary website, compiled their best farmers’ markets list and placed our island’s market at #62.

Factors they considered included the quality and variety of products sold at the market, local appreciation and recognition of the market and the market’s operating hours.

Most popular in summer, our market runs from April to October outside, but lucky for locals, for several winter months it moves indoors as farmers sell their greens, root vegetables and other cool weather produce. Besides delicious island food, many local artisans also sell their crafts at the market. Most weekends you’ll hear live music there as well.

As The Daily Meal noted, “Farmers’ markets are a place where the community comes together to support each other and the sustainable practices farmers use to produce. Farmers are the backbones of our food supply, and we love meeting and getting to know the people who grow what we eat at our local farmers’ market.”

We couldn’t agree more! We’re eager to share our fabulous market with you and your friends!
