Ovation! Performing Arts Northwest is celebrating 15 years of producing professional quality shows in a community theater setting.
We were founded as Ovation! Musical Theatre Bainbridge, and our organization has two arms – the mainstage production arm and the performing arts education arm, the Ovation! Performing Arts Academy (OPAA).
The hallmark of our mainstage productions always has been finding ways to include strong youth ensembles in our shows. Under the leadership of Artistic Director Ron Milton, who is also a co-founder of Ovation!, we produce at least two fully staged musicals, operas or operettas, with live orchestra, each year plus a cabaret-style fund-raising gala that showcases Ovation!'s top youth and adult performers.
We also produce performances through OPAA, which includes Crescendo!, our popular adult singing ensemble; theater arts classes for youth performers, and summer Glee Camps for performers of most any age.
Ovation!'s mission is to create and present quality theatrical and arts education experiences by and for our community, which reinforce our shared commitment to artistic excellence. We achieve this by engaging talented members of our community as a united force, working together to reach our goals.
Ovation! has built a legacy of presenting daring and critically acclaimed productions. In 2014 we were named Theatre of the Year by the Kitsap Sun.
