National Night Out is a fun, block-party-style event for the whole family that builds neighborhood camaraderie and strengthens connections with local police and first responders—helping create safer, more compassionate communities.
So much fun is in store, including:
- Touch-a-Truck
- GIANT inflatable slide & maze
- First responder vehicles and equipment
- Games, prizes & activities
- Music
- Food trucks & tasty treats
- Community booths
- Dunk tank
- KiDiMu activities
- Meet Search and Rescue K-9 hound dog Whitney

Bainbridge Island is proud to join more than 18,000 communities nationwide in celebrating this festive event on the first Tuesday of August.
Come meet and connect with local first responders, including the Bainbridge Island Police Department, Bainbridge Island Fire Department, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, Washington State Patrol, Coast Guard Auxiliary, and more.
The event will take place throughout Waterfront Park. The address is 301 Shannon Drive SE, Bainbridge Island, WA (on Eagle Harbor off Brien Drive, across from the Senior Community Center). Please note that Brien Drive and the boat launch parking on Shannon Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event.
Don’t miss additional activities like Touch-a-Truck, face painting, inflatable attractions, Coast Guard displays, Washington State Patrol robot demos, KiDiMu activities, and more.
Sensory-Friendly Time: 4:00–4:30 p.m.
During this time, noise, lights, and sirens will be reduced to create a more relaxed environment. Noise-canceling headphones will be available thanks to Neurodiverse Connections, and a Cooling Center and quiet space will be open throughout the event at the Bainbridge Island Senior Center & Community Center.
