Description
Blakely School was built in 1965. Two extensive remodels since then have added a new library, additional classrooms, a seismic update, heating and ventilation improvements, and refurbishing of the original classrooms. A new Blakely Elementary School is being constructed on the hill behind the current school. If all goes according to plan, the new Blakely Elementary School will open in the fall of 2019.
Captain Johnston Blakely Elementary School is a rural neighborhood school located on the south end of Bainbridge Island in Puget Sound and is part of the Bainbridge Island School District.
