“The object of the Bainbridge Island Garden Club shall be to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to aid in the protection of native trees, plants and birds, and to encourage civic planting.”
In 1936 the Bainbridge Garden Club was started as a spin off of the Bainbridge Island Community club. 45 women and 5 men joined that first meeting. Their mission statement was to beautify the island. We will be celebrating our 75th anniversary in 2011. We need to be thinking of exciting ways to celebrate this milestone. We hope to do more outreach to our community and build up the membership to our Garden Club. This will be OUR mission for the up coming season.
Every year, the Bainbridge Island Garden Club puts on the Bainbridge Island Flower Show.
