We are pleased to let you know that the summer edition of Bainbridge Island magazine is now available online. Hopefully, these stories will provide a diversion from the anxiety we are all feeling.
Why are you reading the issue online, rather than in print?
We launched Bainbridge Island magazine in the summer of 2012 to celebrate the many amazing people, beautiful locations, and worthy organizations and businesses we had come to know. In the past eight years, the economy was moving at a normal pace. Today our citizens and local businesses are struggling because of the limitations and shutdowns necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
As a periodical that promotes local businesses and events through advertising, we recognize that that business model is not going to work for the time being. Thus, our quarterly print magazine has moved to an online format.
On behalf of the BainbridgeIsland.com staff, we would like to thank all our advertisers who supported our switch to this digital edition and allowed us to publish this issue. We hope to return to a print version as business returns to normal.
We have three small requests of you:
Happy summer and stay safe.
Last year amid the unprecedented circumstances of a global pandemic, we put publication of Bainbridge Island magazine on hold.
A year later, we have decided to permanently discontinue publishing the magazine.
