A Hidden Garden Gateway

The Haiku Garden’s back entrance at the Bainbridge Island Library features a minimalist wooden portal framing a spectacular view of native and Japanese-inspired landscaping. Year-round interest is provided by carefully selected plants including ground cover, climbing vines, and ornamental trees. This serene space offers library patrons a peaceful retreat for reading or quiet contemplation. It is maintained by a dedicated volunteer force of gardeners.
