The Bainbridge Ultra Running Team (BURT) took runners on a journey through Bainbridge Island's natural wonders on February 8-9, 2025, with distances ranging from 55 kilometers to a grueling 100(ish) miles. The course, a meticulously crafted 55K loop, showcased the island's varied terrain - from the dense canopies of the Grand Forests to the challenging switchbacks of Gazzam Lake. With minimal frills and maximum trail time, this winter ultra offered a genuine test of endurance against the backdrop of the Pacific Northwest's stunning beauty.
