Grand Old 4th of July

Winslow’s biggest day of the year. Chamber of Commerce, since 1967. Next date on our calendar: Sunday, July 4, 2027. Walk-on if you can; driving on that morning is a bad idea. Check the ferry and pad it.

Typical shape of the day (confirm on the event listing that year):

• 7–11 a.m. Pancake breakfast at Waterfront Park
• 9 a.m. BYS fun run
• 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Classic car show on Winslow Way
• 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Beer, wine, and cider garden
• 1–3 p.m. Hometown parade on the Winslow route

Street fair, family zone, live music, pie-eating. Most of it is free. Do not plan a Bloedel visit the same afternoon. Official site: grandold4th.com.

The July 3 Street Dance is a separate downtown evening — check the Downtown Association that year. Fireworks over the harbor are not a given; do not promise them.
