About This Event:

Are you between the ages of 18-26 and interested in a tool kit to manage stress? Koru is an evidence-based curriculum fshown to have significant benefits on sleep, perceived stress, mindfulness and self-compassion.

Developed by two physicians at Duke University, the series consists of four weekly 75-minute classes in a small group setting. Participants commit to attending all four classes and spend 10-minutes a day on guided home practices using the Koru app.

Cezanne Allen, M.D. has been teaching mindfulness meditation classes for over four years and is a trained Koru Mindfulness teacher. She has extensive training from the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts and also teaches Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.

Elly Cowan is a college student and avid meditator. She began meditating in her early high school years and after discovering its’ life saving capacity, she started a Meditation Club at her high school. Elly continues to learn and grow through meditation, yoga and nutrition and is passionate about sharing these tools.
