Description
The Bainbridge Chorale presents This Night of Glory, a celebration of the holiday season featuring John Rutter’s joyous Gloria, accompanied by a brass ensemble and percussion.
This Night of Glory, the Chorale's holiday offering, features John Rutter’s joyous Gloria, accompanied by a brass ensemble and percussion. Another notable work is contemporary composer Naomi LaViolette’s gently meditative Night of Silence, described by the composer as “a song that takes listeners on a contemplative journey through memories, loss, and hope during the holidays.”
We will also present the premiere performance of Be the Light, a new composition by the Chorale’s Artistic Director Michael Austin Miller. Its optimistic message that we can all bring light and joy to the world is emphasized by its syncopated tune, rising as inexorably as the sun. The piano brings in touches of familiar carols, including “Joy to the world” and “Silent night”.
