Description
Join us for an inclusive, judgment- and advice-free peer support circle for all birthing folks in their perinatal period. Babies held-in-arms are welcome but not required. Come as you are to connect, resource and re-village.
We are an intentional, confidential, judgment-free, advice-free peer support circle and community for birthing folks to be witnessed, held & celebrated.
Our circle format includes a review of group guidelines, brief mindfulness practice, open check in/sharing time, optional discussion prompts, and a brief closing activity. Babies held-in-arms are always welcome but not required. We are breast/chestfeeding friendly.
We encourage you to come as you are and share whatever you feel comfortable sharing from your experiences in your fertility/pregnancy/postpartum journey.
Sophia Tschida (she/her), professional birth & postpartum doula, is an experienced full spectrum doula and lactation student. She supports birthing folks and their families transition through all pregnancy outcomes in North Kitsap and East Jefferson Counties. She has experience supporting all types of births in hospitals, community birth centers, and in her clients homes. She is a trained circle facilitator through Perinatal Support Washington and Group Peer Support. Sophia is passionate about meeting people where they’re at, building resiliancy through community, reproductive justice, and intersectionality in birth work and beyond. She works from the perspective of “power with vs. power over” to foster a sense of collaboration, innovation and mutual support. She has experienced first hand the deep healing, growth, and empowerment that is cultivated and nurtured within the container of an intentional circle, and is honored to have the opportunity to co-create that space with others.
