Description
Less Paulish Trio is a mostly instrumental group, playing improvised music in many styles. Members are: Roger Ferguson (National Flatpick Champion, guitar/mandolin/fiddle), Trevor Hanson (7-string guitars), and Mick Nicholson (bass). All three are well known Northwest performers, familiar throughout the area at many venues working with diverse ensembles.
The trio's material ranges widely — swing and latin standards, bluegrass and other Americana/old-timey tunes, snatches from the Django Reinhardt manouche tradition, classics from the Great American Songbook, and original compositions. Some might categorize this music as acoustic string jazz. Expect plenty of musical fire and humor.
