View the panorama of Bainbridge Island’s waterfront as you cruise around the Island on the beautifully restored Virginia V, the last of the “Mosquito Fleet” steamers. Watch the 1898 steam engine operate and pull the steam whistle in the pilot house. Enjoy a delicious box of snacks from the deck of this historic craft.
This annual fundraiser of the Bainbridge Island Historical Museum is a festive and informative event featuring a program and historic map highlighting the fascinating history of the numerous docks and communities that grew up along the Island’s shore. Each passenger will receive an informative map of the 31 Bainbridge steamer landings that surrounded the Island with a description of the early 1900s settlements. Arrive 15 minutes early for on-time departure.
