Description
Kaya Yamazaki, master artist of the Japanese Nihon Buyo tradition, offers in-person Classical Japanese Dance classes on Bainbridge Island, WA. These are open-level classes, which means they are suitable for anyone from a complete beginner to advanced. Modifications are suggested to make movements easier or more challenging for each student.
You may wear any clothing you feel comfortable in. Bring a pair of socks for sliding feet exercises. If you have a yukata or kimono and want to wear it for class, you are welcome to do so. Yukata and obi are provided for no additional cost if you want to experience wearing them.
Classes are held every Sunday from October 8 through December 10, except November 26, for the fall of 2023.
The schedule may be subject to change under unlikely circumstances. Announcements will be made in case of any changes.
