Description
Pine & Cactus is an exploration of natural color found all around us and the versatility between and among mediums. Natural color connects us to a community unlike anything else. My work explores how color can capture the land, place, season, people, and history of a particular location. While it spans a variety of traditional categories - wearables/textiles, jewelry, art supplies, art and wood - the underlying craft or practice is deriving natural color. Celebrating the versatility of this practice is core to my teachings.
