About shop founder and creative captia, Alex Sanso
When Alex moved to Bainbridge Island in 2007, she came with a long career in art and design, most notably as a Disney artist, creating merchandise for their theme parks all over the world. In 2013, inspired by the beauty of the island, she created her own line of Bainbridge-themed art prints and merchandise. She sold them through various events on Bainbridge for years, and in August 2021 opened Island Life Artisan Gifts in the heart of Winslow. Alex is in the shop most days—greeting customers, creating new art, and sharing the stories and talents of the many other artists whose work is available in the shop.
