Bainbridge Play Cafe is a family-focused community hub opening soon at 360 Tormey Ln NE, Suite 194, blending Scandinavian hygge coziness with an under-the-sea theme for kids and parents alike.
The space features a welcoming coffee shop open to all, serving kid-friendly drinks, grab-and-go snacks, and seating for solo visits or casual hangouts, plus a membership-based play area in the back designed for children ages 6 and under — complete with calm, timeless toys that encourage open-ended play.
Expect a full calendar of events, including music and art classes for little ones, new-parent courses like lactation support and infant CPR, free weekly storytimes, social gatherings for moms and dads, and birthday party rentals to build Bainbridge's village for raising kids.
Owner Amanda Aude, a local mom, photographer, and founder of the Tots on the Trail hiking group, dreamed up the cafe after her own motherhood journey; she was selected for the 2025 Matchstick Lab Micro Business Accelerator, which fueled the concept to life.
