Description
The Bainbridge Island Parks & Trails Foundation is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enhancing and expanding the island’s parks, trails, and open spaces so that residents and visitors can enjoy safe, accessible outdoor recreation.
It works closely with the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Recreation District to fund community‑inspired capital projects, trail planning and construction, volunteer programs, and youth stewardship initiatives, while also raising awareness and generating public support for the parks system.
The foundation relies on donations, grants, and community engagement to maintain and improve the island’s trail network, signage, and park amenities, making it a key steward of Bainbridge’s natural landscape.
